First Aid For Schools & Youth Groups

The courses taught in schools and youth groups cover the same concepts as the Heartsaver® courses, and can be tailored to suit both your time constraints and the age of your students. Below is the course outlines for Heartsaver® First Aid, which can be taught in a single 4 hour class, or over multiple classes to accommodate your schedule.

The Heartsaver® First Aid course provides students with training in basic first aid and CPR AED procedures in a format that can be delivered in a single day. The course covers:

• First Aid Basics
• Medical Emergencies
• Injury Emergencies
• Environmental Emergencies

This courses will conclude with a short skills testing and is taught using curriculum from the American Heart Association which has been approved for use by the Irish Heart Foundation.

*All training materials are provided on the day of your course including student workbook, pen/paper, personal protective equipment, cleaning equipment, epinephrine pen, first aid kit and splinting materials.
